Overview:
Tarantino is part of a family of restaurants in the Fairfield County area. The Marchetti-Tarantino family, whose roots run deep in Gravina in Puglia, southern Italy, opened their first restaurant, Maria's Trattoria, in Norwalk in 1983. Columbus Park Trattoria was then opened in Stamford in 1985, followed by Osteria Applausi in Old Greenwich and Tarantino Restaurant in Westport in 1994. Tarantino Restaurant and Bar is nestled in a row of shops and eateries across from the Westport train station. Inside, diners will find homemade-handmade pastas, the choicest cuts of meat and the freshest market fish.
Tarantino is a neighborhood gem in Westport that serves up the finest, truly traditional, Italian food. Located across from the train station in Westport, it has a lovely downtown feel with big picture windows, where diners can watch the commuters and sidewalk shoppers come and go.
The guests of Tarantino are treated to dishes inspired by the region of Italy where the owners hail from, but with an innovative twist. We have an extensive menu of entrees and appetizers, and we insist on only the finest and freshest ingredients. Meat, fish and vegetables are delivered fresh daily. We also offer an extensive charcuterie of aged meats and fine cheeses.
Our guests can choose from many traditional dishes, as well as more unique menu selections such as carpaccio, homemade ravioli, fish stew and osso buco. We are so serious about the quality and taste of our food that we grow our own olives in Italy to bottle our own oil, and all of our pasta is handmade. See less
